You cannot be serious to be healthy if you go to the grocery and buy all the junk food and sweets that you like for stocking in your cabinet, ready whenever you like to eat them. Having this kind of food lying around whenever you want them and binge on them is a bad idea and thus you have to control yourself.
Your next guideline is generally to start making healthier food choices. You might not identify some food as junk because you want them but in reality you know it is bad for you. We know that several meals to go are awful, and that it would be healthier for us to prepare our own meals. Be aware of what you will put into your body by learning to read nutritional labels and watch out for sodium and sugar content. It is much better to eat a ton of vegetables like broccoli, kale and spinach, while being watchful on vegetables that are starchy. Although we are not saying to live on vegetables and salads alone, the main idea is to get plenty of portions of these every day to fill you up.
Humans are built to be moving around and not sit the whole day, so it is advisable to choose an exercise that you like and get on with it. Punishing yourself on the treadmill for the whole day is not what we mean here, but rather you choose an exercise that you like and be serious on doing it. Perhaps you may want to visit a dance studio to try dancing, or play a sport you can tackle, or do meditation, and other different kinds of exercise that you like best and find enjoyable enough to stick to it.
Your next pointer is to exert effort in finding means for fitness to be incorporated in your everyday life.
